The Chemical Agent Detector Kit C-2 is designed for issue to a small unit. It is easily operated by one person with a minimum amount of training. The kit may be used for:
• Determining the presence or absence of
chemical agents by changing colors
• Identifying chemical agents
• Collecting vapor samples of unknown
chemical agents for laboratory identification
• Identifying when it is safe to unmask for
either short (1/2 hr.) or long (12 hr.) periods
• Testing for the presence or absence of
chemical agents after decontamination operations.

C-2 Chemical Agent Detector Kit consists of: • Chemical agent liquid detectors • Chemical agent vapor detectors •White band detector tubes • Plain detector tubes • Three bottles of chemical reagents • Air sampling pump • Other miscellaneous testing items • A vinyl coated carrying case designed to withstand severe environmental conditions.

Testing Procedure: 1. Activate the sampler by breaking the crushable ampules to release the test reagent.
2. Expose the activated test disc to ambient air. 3. Determine the presence or absence of chemical agents, compare the color change to the color chart in the instructions. Kits contain instructions & all required test materials.
